Re: V8 Alternator/electrical trouble (170 views) 
Message: All of a sudden my '98 engine shut down shortly after the speedometer went nuts at a stop sign. Right now the starter barely turns over the engine even with spark plugs out (no bad mechanical noise from engine). Battery fully charged but drops to 8.3 V while cranking. Any clues? Strugling to get the starter out of the car.
